This blog focuses on learning about nature through experience rather than just through adult-level intellectual lessons. I recently found an entry on another blog that emphasizes the fact that a child's curiosity and determination to experience nature can be stronger than an adult's plan to teach a nature lesson. If you like the idea of kids learning about nature I think you'll enjoy this post.

I can find myself getting frustrated at the lack of attention kids pay to fun, imaginative, yet structured nature activities. And then find that I'm missing the whole damn point. :)

Any place that can teach kids about nature in a way they can enjoy is always a good one. I lived most of my childhood in a big city, but there were a few years when I lived in the country where it was easy to explore nature. Those few years were the best time of my life.
